Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

By purchasing or using any course from The Informed Path ("we," "us," "our"), you agree to these terms. Please read them before you buy.

What We Provide

The Informed Path sells self-paced educational digital courses (delivered as downloadable files) that teach you how to read your own credit report and understand your rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. We are an educational company, not a credit repair service. We do not access your credit file, contact credit bureaus or furnishers on your behalf, or perform any dispute activity for you. Every action described in our courses is one you carry out yourself, under your own name.

No Guarantee of Results

No company may lawfully guarantee that inaccurate information will be removed from a credit report, or that a credit score will improve by any specific amount. We make no such guarantees, express or implied. Results depend entirely on the facts of your individual credit file and are outside our control.

Not Legal or Financial Advice

Our courses provide general educational information based on federal consumer protection law. They do not constitute legal advice, do not create an attorney-client relationship, and are not a substitute for consulting a licensed attorney or financial professional about your specific situation.

License to Use What You Purchase

When you buy a course, you receive a personal, non-transferable license to use the files for your own individual purposes. You may not resell, redistribute, share, or publicly post the course files or their contents. Each purchase is for one individual's personal use.

Refund Policy

You may request a full refund within 3 business days of purchase, provided you have not yet accessed the course materials. To request a refund, email support@theinformedpath.com with your order details.

Payment Processing

Purchases are processed through third-party providers (Payhip and Stripe). By purchasing, you also agree to those providers' applicable terms. We do not store your full payment card information.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Informed Path is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our courses, including but not limited to outcomes of any credit dispute you initiate using information from our courses. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the course in question.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of our courses after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
